The original movie, Xanadu was terrible even though it was Gene Kelly's last appearance on film.  I have edited out all of the nonsense, but kept the story intact.  It is now down to 26 minutes showing a retired big band clarinet player who teams up with a young man and girl to open a nightclub called Xanadu.  

The girl looks like an old flame of Gene's character from 1945.  He dreams of those days and has one last dance.  They go to a store to pick out some hip clothes for Gene's character and the work on the club continues until opening night and Gene puts on his roller skates to get the crowd moving.

This version is much better.
